WinnersOnlyPlease began as a conversation — one I had regularly with Greg Ivory (former Head of Content at Bleacher Report) during my time at SBIA. We often tossed around creative campaign ideas that never made it past the cutting room floor. After SBIA was acquired and Greg moved on from Bleacher Report, we decided to build our own vision. Alongside our Director of Sales, Vince Lozano, we launched WinnersOnlyPlease — a sports media brand rooted in personality, humor, and community-driven content.

Greg served as the on-camera talent, Vince handled partnerships and monetization, and I led all creative: from ideation and direction to editing and execution. In just 90 days, we grew the page to over 10,000 followers, reached more than 30 million unique views, and saw an engagement rate that outpaced follower growth by 4,600%.

We focused on content that made our audience feel part of the action. I developed formats like “The Fade Greg System”, a running joke where fans bet against Greg’s picks. We hosted weekly livestreams where followers could pitch bets live on camera, and launched our flagship bracket-style campaign — the WO1V1 Tournament — where eight followers competed over three rounds for a $1,000 prize and bragging rights on our page. The campaign gained so much traction, Bleacher Report reached out with interest in licensing the concept — we declined.

Due to differing visions for the future of the brand, I stepped away in 2024. But during my tenure, we operated with media house polish.
